Financial & Scheduling Policies
Dental Finance: Booking Your Treatment (our website has a booking link or you can call us)
To reserve your appointment, we will have you sign your treatment plan. This ensures that you are aware of your Dental conditions and fees involved with the treatment. Patients are responsible for the full fee if insurance denies their part. But we also have dental finance options.
Some procedures will require a booking fee that goes toward your procedure once completed. For treatment of $2,000 and over, a deposit of half of the treatment amount is required in order to reserve your appointment. If you do not show up for your appointment, or give us less than 24 hour notice of cancellation, you will forfeit the amount paid.
Cancelling your Appointment
Life happens and you may need to cancel your appointment. We understand that and are happy to help you reschedule. We just ask a 24 hour notice for any appointment you are unable to keep, easy to do right? This helps us schedule other patients who have been waiting for a spot to see us. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please call us within 24 hours of your appointment or you may be charged a fee of $75.
Paying for your Appointment
Payment is due upon check-in of visit. This might be different than other medical offices. We are a small family-owned Dental Office in Charlotte and we do not have the resources to allow us to bill everyone for treatment.
However, we accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
For those who prefer the convenience of payment spread out over a comfortable period of time, dental finance options are available through CareCredit Finance. We can apply for you at the office. However, we need your ID to do so. Furthermore, they offer no interest plans with no prepayment penalties.
If you receive an invoice from us in the mail, there will be instructions on how to pay online through our website without having to call us or mail a check.
Insurance
Insurance can be frustrating and difficult to understand for both the patients and our office. We ask for your patience as we try to handle numerous of different plans and policies for all of our patients. However, we do strive to make your experience as easy as possible. Plus, we take numerous hours on the phone with insurance to try to collect information about your plan. However, we gather this information and explain it to you when we present the treatment plan. This is an estimate based on the limited information insurance companies will provide us, and insurance often times pays differently than anticipated. However, they may also deny claims after services are rendered. We will be your cheerleader through this and try to maximize your insurance payment! Plus, we strive to give you the best information that we can collect.
You are responsible for the full amount of services performed. If you have dental insurance, we will accept your assigned insurance benefits towards payment on your account. However, the insurance you have is a legal contract between YOU and your insurance company. Furthermore, our office is not, and cannot be a part of that legal contract. Plus, you are also responsible for paying all co-payments, deductibles, and uncovered procedures as services are rendered.
Patients With Two Insurance Plans
If you have more than one dental insurance plan, we will be more than happy to assist in estimating the coverage from both plans. Plus, we will also file the insurance claims for both plans, as a service to you. However, due to the complicated nature and length of time for processing multiple claims for the same procedure, we will collect any copays estimated for the secondary insurance at the time of service. Furthermore, if your secondary insurance provides a benefit for that service, the insurance company will send the payment directly to you. Moreover, if the insurance company ends up sending us the check, we will issue a refund to you in a timely manner.
